Description

A suite of ten pieces for piano linked by "promenades," written by Modest Mussorgsky based on paintings by the artist Victor Hartmann, the work has enjoyed enormous success and has been the subject of numerous arrangements. The version for four-hand piano, transcribed by Bruno Rossignol, will be performed.
Inspired by paintings by Auguste Renoir, the Fifteen Portraits of Children by Jean Françaix are dedicated to the composer's two little girls, Sophie and Christine.
Written for this show, the text will invite the audience into an imaginary museum…
