◈ Solo Séverin Guelpa – RIFT Exhibition from September 18 to October 23. On the occasion of Geneva Art Week, Séverin Guelpa presents a large installation in the Hub. i3 that takes the audience into a sonic and telluric twilight. On the program, RIFT, an immersive installation, SOUFFLE, a sound performance, and an exploratory dinner orchestrated by the artist and chef Virginie Morillo during the opening on September 18. September 19, 11 AM – 6 PM ◈ Description For HIFLOW, Séverin Guelpa offers a vast installation that takes the audience into a sonic and telluric twilight, a space where the boundaries between mineral and human become porous. Stones, voices, breaths, and instruments meet in a shared vibration, like the components of a single organism in motion. The rift, this deep fracture of the Earth's crust where plates diverge and fold, opens a space for transformation. Far from evoking a definitive rupture, RIFT considers the fault as a place of listening, passage, and relationship. Here, the trembling is not a sign of an imminent end of the world, but an expression of interdependence between beings, materials, and forces that traverse them. Within the installation, sounds from the depths of the earth dialogue with human voices and instrumental resonances. Vibrations propagate through space as invisible links, inviting the audience to feel what connects rather than what separates. In this dimly lit space inhabited by frequencies and resonances, listening becomes a physical experience, a way to relate to temporalities and presences that surpass the human scale. On September 18, the exhibition will be inaugurated by SOUFFLE #3, a performance bringing together singers, musicians, and vibrations of the mineral world. Designed as an activation of the installation, this collective work will deploy a soundscape where songs, instruments, and telluric resonances blend in a single movement, embodying the idea that all existence participates in a vast vibratory community. With RIFT, Séverin Guelpa invites inhabiting the fault not as a place of separation, but as a space of encounter, attention, and transformation.
