Description

At the crossroads of fanzine and artist's book, Short Ass Attention Span is a collection of texts of varying lengths, conceived as a series of blank cards entrusted to artists, authors, or, more broadly, to any invited person. No matter their place in the art pyramid, or whether they are known and recognized for their writings — the edition combines self-taught and academic-people, end-of-the-world type literatures, hopeful reflections, political essays on sexuality, punchy phrases, and substantial paragraphs, licentious contemporary autofictions or poems: you name it. Each issue explores the plurality of voices and contemporary forms of expression. Writing becomes a space for free experimentation, supported by attentive guidance and layout designed text by text. For this new edition, Ethan Assouline and Gaia Vincensini are invited to collaborate with Pauline Coquart on the design of the edition, the casting of authors, and the creation of works.
