The five-piece US/CH band from Basel brings the sound of the American South to the stage. Southern Blues, Swamp, Soul, Country, and Rock'n'Roll merge into an exhilarating mix full of groove, joy of playing, and authenticity. Instead of copying well-known hits, the band rediscover forgotten jukebox gems from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. A concert by TAKE THE 55 sounds like Mississippi Delta, Bayous, and long nights in the Juke Joints of the Deep South. Music with heart, soul, and plenty of Southern Spirit.
