The Mosaic Season of the Conservatoire populaire highlights the artistic expertise of its teachers, providing them with a stage to share their work as artists, dancers, actors, musicians, performers, and/or composers. This year, the Mosaic Season program invites the public to discover five artistic events centered around diversity, sharing, and creation. From Cuba to European baroque, from contemporary harp to percussion inspired by jazz and groove, up to the sound energies of Vertixe Sonora Ensemble, this program fosters dialogue between aesthetics, generations, and disciplines.
The Mosaic Season invites you to traverse three centuries of European music with Stravaganza. From royal courts to cathedrals, ballrooms to chapels, this concert resonates with the full diversity of a repertoire that has shaped our musical history. The program features well-known voices — Charpentier, Gabrieli, Lully, Bach — and more discreet figures like Corrette or Holborne, offering a journey combining festive music, dances, sacred works, and virtuosic pieces. On stage, musicians playing replicas of ancient instruments recreate the sound colors of another era: violin, sackbut, dulcian, traverso, recorder, lute, trumpet, harpsichord… Tones that give each piece its true identity. An inclusive concert for all audiences, whether already familiar with early music or discovering it for the first time.
