Where do you actually get your opinions from? Heinz & Werni, the two beloved characters created by Bruno Maurer and Christian Gysi, have never asked themselves this question. They’re firmly in the saddle—not on top of, but inside—the “Rössli” and know exactly what’s going on. Despite the tsunami of information that regularly crashes over them and threatens to sweep the ground out from under their feet, they remain optimistic. Together with their stage characters, Pasta del Amore try to make sense of it all and stumble upon life’s big questions along the way. They spout absurd opinions, enchant with humorous drawings, and annoy with their love-spreading antics.
Through subtle, humorous episodes, Pasta del Amore offers insights into the emotional world of their keenly observed characters and creates an environment in which they fail in a comedic way. And the audience watches and laughs. Because they recognize themselves in it. And because it feels good to watch others go through it.
