Description
At the beginning of the year, the Sinfonieorchester Villingen-Schwenningen invites you on a musical journey to Vienna. The occasion is the 200th birthday of Josef Strauss, the brother of the waltz king Johann Strauss. Waltzes, polkas, and other popular compositions transport you into the dazzling world of ballrooms. At the same time, the program also offers a glimpse into the lighter, more personal side of this music. Works by Franz Lehár and Emmerich Kálmán bridge to operetta and bring melodic richness and lively elegance to the stage. Part of the concert is dedicated to Schrammel music, which is closely associated with Vienna's Heurigen culture. Here, an atmosphere of closeness, conviviality, and musical warmth is created.
