Description

A dramatic reading with Carsten Dittrich and Friedemann A. Nawroth. The Thirty Years' War lasted 30 years. Then it stopped again. But in the meantime, I lost my parents, yet I learned to read and write, became a court jester, soldier, a ladies' man experiencing amorous adventures, and a treasure hunter in this twisted world where everything is topsy-turvy. Oh, woe and again woe for eternity. But it was still fun! And that's why I want to tell you about my turbulent life. Almost everyone knows the "adventurous Simplicissimus Teutsch" by Grimmelshausen. Hardly anyone has actually read it. Carsten Dittrich and Friedemann A. Nawroth want to change that. The good thing is: they don't have to read it themselves! The two actors will do that for you. As colorful, wild, raw, ragged, and full of jesterly tricks as the novel. Lotto Baden-Württemberg is the sponsor of the Literature Days as part of the Homeland Days 2026 in Oberkirch.

The dramatic reading takes place at the Burgbühne s´freche hus in Oberkirch. The two actors bring the turbulent life of Simplicissimus to life in an entertaining way and offer a new perspective on the classic novel.
