Everyone is here, the flowers are in place, only the bride and groom are missing. Meanwhile, the civil registrar speaks, tells stories. Memories, images come back to her, the couples she has married, those she hasn't forgotten. We can guess journeys, promises, silences too. Based on interviews with Evelyne Cottier, civil registrar, Denis Maillefer has created a show, led by the Fribourg actress Marie-Madeleine Pasquier, where they talk about love, marriages, what we celebrate and what we don't always say, in a speech that takes its time, digresses, inspires, returns and is traversed by the lives of others.
