Description
Set in a mountain village in Eastern Anatolia, Salvation tells the story of an old feud reignited between two villages as a banished clan returns. The village chief's brother experiences disturbing visions, which he interprets as divine signs, leading him to question the village leader and incite the community against the returnees. Inspired by real events, the film critically explores how fake news and religious fanaticism can radicalize societies, serving as a political allegory about the dangers of populism that divides communities. The film, awarded the Silver Bear at Berlin, is presented as a tense political thriller.
