Description
Un poeta tells the story of Óscar Restrepo, a Colombian poet whose passion for poetry has rarely been recognized. Living with his mother and working as a teacher out of necessity, he discovers a talented young girl named Yurlady. His mentorship becomes a reflection of his own dreams and doubts. The film, shot on charmingly imperfect 16mm film, is a personal exploration by director Simón Mesa Soto, who has received international acclaim including the 'Un Certain Regard' jury prize at Cannes.
