Description
The film follows Parisian doctor Loran Bonnardot as he embarks on a last voyage to Tristan da Cunha, a remote island in the South Atlantic. Over 30 years, he has visited the island regularly, forming deep bonds with its residents. Now, at age 50, he aims to become one of the island's 230 inhabitants, seeking a utopian place beyond the horizon. The film blends documentary, fiction, and the protagonist's dreams, offering a poetic reflection on belonging and adventure. The event includes a post-screening discussion with director Tobias Nölles, moderated by film scholar Tanja Simeunovic.
