Allegretto poco mosso About the Artists İnci Yakar Birol studied piano and composition at the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul and continued her piano training at the Saarland University of Music in Germany with Prof. Thomas Duis and Prof. Fedele Antonicelli. She also attended chamber music classes with Prof. Eduard Brunner and Prof. Tatevik Mokatsian and participated in masterclasses with Alessio Bax, Bruno Canino, and Marisa Somma. İnci has received several awards and scholarships, including the Yamaha Foundation Piano Competition, the Eczacıbaşı National Composition Competition, the Eczacıbaşı Overseas Scholarship, as well as scholarships from the Bruno-Elizabeth Meindle Foundation, the Zonta Foundation, and the Richard Wagner Association. Her solo album "Saygun'a Saygı" (Tribute to Saygun) was released in 2021 by Çağsav. The piece "Sesli Kitap" from this album won second prize at the Sonus International Composition Competition, where she performed at the gala concert in Washington, D.C. She currently teaches as a professor at the State Conservatory Istanbul of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and continues her solo and chamber music activities. Gözde Yaşar graduated in 2003 from Bilkent High School, performing Max Bruch's "Kol Nidrei" with the Bilkent Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 2004, she toured with the Anatolian Chamber Orchestra in Turkey, Belgium, and Germany, performing with several renowned musicians. In 2007, she played J. Brahms' "Double Concerto for Violin and Cello" before graduating at the top of her class. After her graduation, she played chamber music with violinist Lucas David. In 2007, she received a Fulbright scholarship. After obtaining her master's degree, Yaşar was accepted into the DMA program at the Maryland School of Music to continue her studies with Evelyn Elsing. She won the "Ist Eğirdir Chamber Music Competition" with her ensemble named Geistesblitz Trio. As a member of NKEnsemble, the album "Lâhza" was recently released. Gözde Yaşar is a lecturer at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, State Conservatory in Istanbul.
