Description

Families will spend a memorable night in a historically accurate Roman soldier's accommodation, the Contubernia. Under the guidance of a Roman soldier or woman, participants learn essential skills and knowledge of a Roman legionary. The evening includes marching, cooking a real Roman meal over an open fire, and engaging in combat, games, and campfire activities. The night concludes with a unique Roman-style sleep experience on straw mattresses in the Contubernia. The next morning begins with a self-prepared Roman breakfast, testing the entire legionary skill set once again.
