Description

Did the people of Lucerne notice Wagner’s anti-Semitism during his time in Tribschen? How did the city of Lucerne deal with this when it opened the Richard Wagner Museum in 1933? And why, when the Lucerne Festival was founded in 1938, were
Wagner’s works, of all things, were performed on the square in front of the Tribschen villa? Historian Patrik Süess addressed these and other questions in a research project. The findings will be presented in a new special exhibition starting in April 2027. During the open house, Patrik Süess will offer insights into his research and will be available to answer questions and engage in conversation.
