Description
The Austrian federal states adopted the Austrian Soil Strategy in 2024, in which they commit to a substantial reduction in future land consumption and sealing. In a controversial debate, they agreed on four main approaches: protection of open and green spaces, prevention of urban sprawl, efficient inner development, and intensification of awareness-raising and public relations. Arthur Kanonier, who professionally accompanied the soil strategy, will outline the main challenges and solutions for the economical use of land and soil. The lectures are aimed not only at our students and lecturers but also at the general public. With conviction and commitment, the UFL thus fulfills its social mission of transparent knowledge transfer. Online speaker: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Arthur Kanonier
