Description

Magali is eleven years old and loves the Beatles. When she discovers their music in her father's record cabinet, it marks the beginning of a great love! What Magali really dislikes is school. Especially since she reached middle school, because she suddenly becomes overwhelmed by terrible feelings of anxiety.

Magali escapes into the music of the legendary band from England and takes us on a dive into her own fantasy and parallel worlds with the 'Yellow Submarine'. She talks about everyday school life, her classmates, her parents, her sister, and how one day anxiety enters her life and she can no longer go to school.

French artist Magali Le Huche describes and illustrates her childhood experiences in her graphic novel with delicate humor and great sensitivity. The stage adaptation by the Basel suburban theater impresses with strong acting and a live band that could have even moved the real Beatles.
