We tap history! – The manufacturer family, the brewmaster, the maltster, the wagon master, and the chief accountant: People in over 80 different professions have shaped the history of the Haldengut brewery between 1843 and 2002.

The fermentation tank of yesteryear becomes a memory tank in the Museum Schaffen. The stories stored in this tank still resonate today. The exhibition "Memory Tank Haldengut" takes you into a past working world with unique objects. Old advertising posters, tools, a living yeast culture, and Switzerland's first non-alcoholic beer tell of inventiveness, identity, and entrepreneurial risk. At the center is the brewery as a work cosmos where people, horses, and machines work side by side.

Former employees and contemporary witnesses speak in the exhibition. Together we ask what remains when an industrial company disappears.
