The book is based on his impressive speech on July 20, 2025, at the Plötzensee Memorial and asks what resistance means today – in the face of right-wing extremism and a democracy under pressure. Historian and journalist Ruth Hoffmann was nominated for the German Non-Fiction Prize in 2024 with »Das deutsche Alibi«; in »Raubzug von rechts« (both titles published by Goldmann), she shows how right-wing groups hijack democratic concepts like freedom and resistance.
