Inspired by a traditional Japanese tale, Momo, the child fisherman, tells the epic story of a child born from a fruit, taken in by the one who will become his mother along the water. But his heritage is marked by a heavy secret: an evil ogre has sown chaos and emptied the village of its inhabitants. Determined to uncover this mystery, Momo sets out in search of justice. Along the way, he meets three unlikely companions: a dog, a monkey, and a pheasant. Together, they will face the waves and join forces to challenge the ogre in his castle… But let’s not reveal the ending of this true little opera accessible from 6 years old, in which children and adults will enjoy the dreamlike quality of music, scenery, and costumes! This show received the Grand Prize at the International Young Audience Composition Competition organized by the Orchestre Victor Hugo on December 7, 2024.
