meditative Klangreise

Description

Circularts invites you to a special musical evening in November as part of the event series BADEN IN KLANG. The focus is on a meditative sound journey that combines traditional Indian music with the warm sounds of the handpan as well as acoustic and electronic soundscapes. A special guest is the Indian sitar master Subrata De. With his virtuosic and sensitive playing, he opens a special musical dialogue together with Jennifer Pfeifer and Marco Koegel. Marco Koegel combines handpans, archaic instruments, loopers, and synthesizers to create atmospheric soundscapes. From individual tones, rhythms, and electronic sound surfaces, multi-layered sound carpets emerge live, continuously changing. Acoustic instruments meet modern live electronics, organic rhythms blend with floating soundscapes. Jennifer Pfeifer complements the sound journey with harmonium, voice, singing bowls, and other acoustic instruments. Her warm, organic sounds create a connection between meditative passages and the diverse sound colors of the other musicians. This results in a interplay of Indian sitar music, handpan, voice, archaic instruments, and atmospheric live electronics. The music develops spontaneously and invites you to relax, listen consciously, and immerse yourself in the various layers of sound. For the special spatial sound reproduction, original Mechow® natural sound systems from Wakanoa will be used this evening. The music is thus perceived not only from a specific direction but can fill the entire room sonically. Friday, November 6, 2026 · 7:00 PM
