Description

50,000 years in the future. Earth and its people still exist. And there is even more life in the same solar system, because Mars is also inhabited. Humans have realized their grandiose project and colonized Mars. At least, that's the story people tell. The Zhuānjié, one of the two civilizations on Mars, tell a completely different origin story. But how important is the truthfulness of one's own creation after 50,000 years? The colonization of Mars – for the magnitude of this topic, we have also expanded and the Lucerne Theatre has entered a coproduction with the Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center. Two actors from the Lucerne ensemble and two from the SDAC ensemble venture together into unknown worlds. Writer and director Kevin Rittberger dares to create a theater piece set in a future that is beyond all imagination. That's exactly why the box, this satellite around the Lucerne Theatre, is the perfect place to detach from Mother Ship Earth and delve into a very own story. Kevin Rittberger writes us into a future where humans seem to have shed everything that makes us human. But our own evolution shows us that despite all change, we can never completely detach from our origins.
