Description

The six-member female vocal ensemble Luminosa takes its audience on a musical journey into the New Year. The program combines a contemplative Christmas remembrance (including Ola Gjeilo, Ēriks Ešenvalds) with hopeful works for the new year (including Knut Nystedt, Thomas Hanelt). The ensemble, founded in 2023, has quickly gained an international reputation. The highly talented singers cover a broad repertoire from classical to modern. Luminosa is among other awards, the winner of the 14th International A Cappella Competition Leipzig 2024 and the Fanny Mendelssohn Competition 2024, a scholarship holder of the city of Munich and the Mozarteum Salzburg, and has performed at festivals such as the Bach Festival Leipzig.
