La Sécurité is a punk collective from Montreal that combines bouncy rhythms, a fractured harmonic spectrum, and minimalist melodic phrasing, all filtered through an insomniac lens, the result of overexposure to the neon lights of the Quebec metropolis. Their music thrives when ignited on a dance floor, preaching to live dangerously. The lyrics echo the Riot Grrrl movement, celebrating among other things the empowerment of women, friends (both kind and wicked), and kindness. Since their debut in spring 2022, the eclectic quintet has received invitations from SXSW, End of the Road, The Great Escape, Reeperbahn, and this summer will be featured at Dour and Primavera, adding tours alongside The Go! Team and The Rapture. After the release of their first album "Stay Safe!" (2023), and its joyful offspring "Stay Safe! REMIXED" (2024), both with Mothland, the quintet unveiled last year the tracks "Detour" and "Ketchup," paving the way for a new influx of D.I.Y. sonic gems. The band once again positions itself on the fringes of punk, new wave, and krautrock, slyly subverting stylistic formulas at every opportunity with the release of their second album "Bingo!", scheduled for June 12, 2026, via Bella Union (Worldwide) and Mothland (Canada/USA).
