Description
Kidnapped by a young conspiracy theorist, an epidemiologist faces a closed-door confrontation where anxiety, manipulation, and intimate secrets make all certainties waver.
Inspired by a real-life event, the play depicts the kidnapping of Édith Grandjean, a media-savvy epidemiologist and an engaged figure in the fight against Covid-19. Used to television platforms where she advocates for health measures and vaccination, she has become both an authoritative voice and a target. Her kidnapper, a young man isolated with conspiracy beliefs, lives in a survivalist refuge, convinced of the world's collapse. In this confined space, a disturbing face-to-face begins, where fear and fascination intertwine. Between evaded truths and forced confidences, the confrontation gradually reveals a buried secret, more intimate and devastating than the beliefs that oppose them. A power game where reason falters and everyone risks losing much more than freedom.
