One morning, without explanation, Gregor Samsa wakes up in the form of a monstrous insect. From financial support from his family, he becomes a burden, unable to work, communicate, or exist. His parents ignore him, his sister takes care of him from a distance, while compassion gradually gives way to rejection. Cut off from the world, Gregor tries to preserve a part of humanity, but gradually exhausts himself, until he disappears, much to the relief of his loved ones. Behind the fantastic, the cruelty of reality asserts itself: the metamorphosis is not surprising, it only disturbs because it upsets the established order. And if this transformation was also an escape, a radical way to flee from an absurd world where one is only valued by their function?
