Description

A comedy between the military and high nobility Marie confidently travels as a merchant accompanying a French regiment and falls in love with Tonio. The Marquise de Berkenfield recognizes her lost niece in Marie and immediately wants to provide her with a suitable marriage candidate. But Tonio does not give up so easily. As a cheerful counterpart to ‹Lucia di Lammermoor›, ‹La Fille du régiment› offers another coloratura-filled parade role for Regula Mühlemann. Alongside her: Ronan Caillet with the notorious tenor aria ‹Ah! mes amis›. In a semi-staged performance, arranged by Benedikt von Peter and Mick Besuch, the bel canto comes to life at the Stadtcasino.
