Jürg Halter is a freelance writer, spoken-word artist, and visual artist. He is one of the most well-known Swiss artists of his generation. He has published 11 books and 7 music albums (five of them under his deceased, shimmering pseudonym Kutti MC), written plays and essays, exhibited in domestic and international venues, and performed in over 20 countries across Europe, Africa, the USA, South America, and Asia.
Furthermore, Halter is considered a gifted improvisation artist, whether he is performing alone or with artists like Stephan Eicher, Polo Hofer, Sina, or Dieter Meier (Yello). Endo Anaconda once described Halter as: "Jürg Halter is an improvisation genius."
After gaining recognition in recent years mainly as a socially critical writer and visual artist, he is now working on his first "solo" stage program "Mensch". It promises a mix of new and old, poetic and ironic dialect texts, improvisations, and the masterful musical accompaniment by Luk Zimmermann (guitar, drums, effects).

General Information
