The Kaserne Basel presents dance me to the ball – a balancing act as part of ZIRKA ZIRKUS in collaboration with Station Circus. A light-footed play with everything found on stage – with balls, ropes, packing paper, and a ladder. The crystal ball opens the universe, and then the wonderfully come-to-life overall dances. A paper monster eats the rope, and the ladder is more of a side element to gain height. Acrobatics expand the play: a ball rolls over the head, neck, and arms of the juggler and is kept in balance in all imaginable positions; dance-like floor acrobatics are integrated, and suddenly it’s quite clearly and tangibly about balance.
