For Jacqueline, a comedic actress at the end of her career, no longer being on stage means no longer being at all. Surrounded by her loved ones, she calls for assisted suicide and orchestrates her farewell as a final staging. But barely has the poison been swallowed when a phone call upsets everything: a renowned director offers her the role of Phèdre. Like a headless chicken, Jacqueline then fights against death to return to the stage and fulfill her dream of being a tragedienne. But isn't she already accomplishing this with the staging of her own suicide? Inspired by Jacqueline Maillan, the trio Rebecca Balestra, Manon Krüttli, and Guillaume Poix continues its exploration of desperate comedy and questions, through the codes of boulevard theater, the ferocity of our need to exist.
