Art historian Magdalena Kolar takes you into the artistically designed worlds of the Prague artist collective around Matěj Forman. 16 Czech craft artists bring to life every fantasy with their fantastic, analog spaces and objects in this exhibition – the tour looks behind the scenes and provides insight into the ideas and personal stories of the collective: from individual craftsmanship to the great tradition of Czech puppet theater. These special tours are held in cooperation with the Wunder.-Festival, which celebrates two anniversaries this year: 30 years of the International Puppet Theater Festival in Munich and 75 years of the Society for the Promotion of Puppet Play e. V. With a versatile program for all generations, the festival highlights the special world of puppet and object theater – creating the perfect setting for the playful, handcrafted worlds of the IMAGINARIUM. MAGDALENA KOLAR is an art historian and holds a doctorate from LMU Munich. Her research focus is on Czech art of the early 20th century.
