From simple organisms to giant beasts, Hopeful Monster tells the story of evolution — entirely with hands. Using innovative puppet techniques, a visual world is created where stones, plants, and animals constantly grow and transform into new and extraordinary shapes. Accompanied by a imaginative soundtrack, the audience is reminded of the playfulness of life. After all, we humans are also animals. Hopeful Monster Theatre from Great Britain is a collective of three young women who draw inspiration from nature and science to develop visually playful theater forms.
