Description
The jazz trio led by the pianist and university professor Helmut Lörscher, who lives in Müllheim (with Bernd Heitzler on bass and Matthias Daneck on drums), stands for chamber music jazz in lively, dense interplay, in which elements of classical music are also reflected in jazz style. Under the title "Jazz in the Martinskirche," the musicians will present their current program "Triosonate - Chamber Jazz Explorations." At its center is the Sonata à tre. The composition for jazz trio offers both extensively composed parts and spaces for lively improvisation. It is structured in classical three-movement sonata form. In addition to the Sonata à tre, there are other original compositions and arrangements that explore the tension between jazz, classical tradition, and new music in various ways. Throughout, technical refinement is always accompanied by joy of playing, groove, and jazz spirit. The audience can expect vibrant, modern jazz, profound and sometimes humorous at the same time. Listeners can also look forward to the now obligatory solo encore by improvisation artist Helmut Lörscher: improvising on a spontaneously given theme from the audience.
