The film "Grounding" tells the story of the final days of the Swiss airline Swissair, from the historic grounding of its fleet on October 2, 2001, and how it all came to be. At the same time, the film depicts the real fate of the top manager Mario A. Corti, the last, unsuccessful CEO of the traditional airline, as well as the tragic fate of nameless people who almost lose everything in the wake of the "Swissair" collapse: job, house, and their faith in the Switzerland they knew.
