In collaboration with the University of Fribourg, the Théâtre des Osses offers an exploration, in an intimate setting, of a theme from its programming. Over a meal like at home, a teacher provides a unique perspective that sparks discussion. Eyes meet, while thoughts and bodies nourish each other. Growing up, competing, getting attached - I love you, bro.
Family constitutes the first space of relationships, bonds, and conflicts: a place where identity and memory are woven.
At the heart of this space, sibling dynamics crystallize. Between competition, support, and loyalty, fraternal relationships constantly oscillate. Can rivalry and attachment truly be dissociated? Growing together also means comparing oneself, differentiating, sometimes opposing, while sharing a common history. Really? Are family memories unambiguous? Each member reconstructs, selects, and interprets lived experiences differently. The same scene can give rise to divergent stories, revealing as many subjective truths.
As a space of unity and fragmentation, transmission and transformation, between memory, emotion, and finiteness, family continuously reconfigures itself, less as a stable reality than as a set of stories.
