Description

This year, GODEWIND also performs at the Ohnsorg-Theater to celebrate the festive conclusion of their Christmas tour, filling it with the special warmth that only their Christmas music radiates. When GODEWIND comes, the Christmas spirit arrives too. They once again travel with a fully loaded sleigh of songs, stories, and memories of the North German winter landscape. GODEWIND manages, like hardly anyone else, to combine the magic of old traditions with a modern, lively sound. The journey through the Advent season tells stories in Hoch- and Plattdeutsch: of snowy paths, cozy rooms, the scent of roasted almonds, and the small wonders of the great festival. Musically, a touching arc unfolds:
From groovy, cheerful titles like "Wenn es schneit" (When it snows), the lovingly playful "Adventskalender" (Advent Calendar), or the classic "Rudolph," to mystic-warm sounds like "Winter in’t Watt". Traditional Christmas carols are also performed, inviting the audience to sing along.
