Sometimes a concert comes together because paths keep crossing. In Düdingen. In Einsiedeln. In Muotathal. In the Earl Music Club. In MAUZ. In Bad Bonn, there are people who not only play and listen to rock music but also do something for it. They organize concerts, run small clubs, help at festivals, invite bands, and perform on stage themselves. People who open spaces and make things possible. Two of these paths will come together on December 5 at MAUZ. We know Samuel Riedo among other things from Hook, Line & Sinker. He already played with them at our venue in December 2025. His other project is called Gans Sauvage: Lo-Fi-Indie-Psych-Rock from Freiburg, Düdingen, and Gals. Smoothly crooning electric guitars, in nostalgic Lo-Fi chaos, with lyrics and chatter reminiscent of Düdingen Düsterboys or Interregional Music. Comfortably melancholic, fuzzy-dreamy, and wonderfully nonchalant. And then there are The Early Greys.
A band that actually wants to disappear again – hardly having arrived. Five musicians from different corners of the Swiss rock scene have come together for this project: Andi Frick from Motorizer, Robin Weissen and Dominik “Doz” Zgraggen from Son Cesano, Erich “Bäschul” Gwerder, formerly of Verwaint, and Ralph “Hoss” Gwerder from Muck. Together they create alternative and prog rock with traces of punk and stoner. And they decided from the beginning: The Early Greys should remain a project. A few concerts – and then maybe disappear again. The connections among them have existed for a while. Robin and Doz were on stage with Son Cesano in November 2024. Hoss runs the Earl Music Club in Muotathal, where Sämi was a guest with Hook, Line & Sinker. And we appreciate these connections. Sämi and Hoss not only make music themselves, they create spaces and opportunities for others to make music. And that’s why we are bringing Gans Sauvage and The Early Greys together for an evening. Two bands.
