Description

This project is our pride, even though we immediately pass the credit to the wonderful educators Dr. Peer Hübel, Peter Jacob, and Stefan Kirsch. Where else is there such a thing: a school big band recruited from three schools in three cities and two federal states, performing a headliner show every year in front of a sold-out house? We tell you: nowhere! Year after year, the big band leaders have to replace up to 50 percent of the ensemble due to school graduations. It resembles a modern Sisyphus myth. The three educators repeatedly roll a carefully amalgamated stone of over forty parts towards the summit, only to see it roll back into the valley each time, starting all over again. But: what was understood as punishment in antiquity now comes with sustainable success. Several members of the orchestra have since begun music studies.
