Description
Emotions in Pink shows women who want to make breast cancer visible with their faces. Because behind every illness there is a person and a life with family, friends, passions, profession, and vocations. Illness affects not only the body but the whole life and social environment. With photographic portraits, the women introduce themselves to us, telling of fear and uncertainty, but also of courage, hope, and the power of human connection. For example, Krista: She finds her strength to cope with this path in helping others by sharing her experiences on her blog. We all know someone affected by it. One in eight women is confronted with the diagnosis. Emotions in Pink is a sign of solidarity with all women affected by breast cancer. The exhibition raises awareness of the importance of early detection and equal access to breast cancer screening, which is not yet a given in all cantons of Switzerland. It invites you to look, listen, and engage in conversation. The exhibition can be seen during the regular opening hours of the open art museum, St. Gallen, in the open space in the foyer. Admission to the exhibition is free.
