Known for their captivating energy and fearless musicianship, Dokwerk regularly wins awards at international chamber music competitions. Their program is a tribute to searching, losing, and rediscovering. It celebrates the transformation from limitation to abundance, the poetry of the everyday, tradition, and the emergence and eruption of a unique artistic voice. Art as an expression of spiritual nonconformity, self-discovery, and freedom. Rooted in diverse cultures and driven by a shared artistic spirit, Dokwerk aims to secure a permanent place for the classical saxophone in today's and tomorrow's music! You will hear works by Steve Reich, György Ligeti, Ian Wilson, Nuno Lobo, and Chick Corea.
