A small rhinoceros from Berlin Zoo sets out to conquer the music world. Packed with: lots of thick rhymes and beats — and a little support from some of the biggest names in the German pop scene. Fast forward five years: today, every child knows who DIKKA is. From rhyme no zeroes, there are now bed linen, sneakers, muesli, ice cream, and even skateboards — not to mention countless hit songs and features with the biggest names in the local scene: Sido, LEA, CRO, Wincent Weiss, Nico Santos, Mark Forster, Lena, Kontra K, SDP, Alvaro Soler, Kool Savas ... — a who-is-who of German pop music, showing the immense influence the rhinoceros has long had. Oh yes, and in passing, he also sold out the Berlin Uber Arena and transformed it into a huge rhinoceros enclosure with 13,000 spectators. Crazy, right? DIKKA's fourth album "BOAH is that crazy" impressively shows how consistently he translates the everyday life of young listeners into modern pop music: whether "Superkind," "No means No," "I am I," or "Love Sadness" — DIKKA encounters self-confidence, boundaries, courage, self-doubt, and big emotions without finger-wagging, always on eye level and with his characteristic wink. Social themes also resonate: "Peace" sends a message against war and violence, while "Astronaut" (feat. Giraffenaffen) addresses climate awareness in a child-friendly manner.
