During the course of a day, my mom slips into many different roles: Sometimes she goofs around with us kids, sometimes she strolls through the streets like a diva, sometimes she's as mean as a witch, sometimes she sings so loudly in the bathtub that the neighbor knocks and asks if everything is okay… But in the evening, she stands on stage and captivates the audience, because my mom is an opera singer! She tells us that on stage she loves to die for her life – meaning the roles she plays die. It can be tragic, but sometimes funny. Sometimes we visit my mom at the opera or we dress up ourselves and imagine standing on the big stage.

In this humorous musical story, children dive into the dazzling world of opera with well-known arias and the imaginative illustrations of Carla Haslbauer – and into the life behind the scenes. A storytelling concert to sing along and participate.
