As a guest: Hito Steyerl What comes to the table, what is liked – only condition: The books tell of Jewish history and culture or are written by Jewish authors. Dana von Suffrin ("Toxibaby" [s] Kiepenheuer & Witsch) and Philipp Lenhard ("Café Marx" [s] C. H. Beck) recommend and discuss, celebrate and contradict – from classics to new releases to surprising finds. The guest is the Munich artist Hito Steyerl (* 1966), who explores in films, installations, and essays how images circulate, who owns them, and what power they wield. Since 2024, she has been teaching as a professor of Current Digital Media at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich; most recently, "Medium Hot. Bilder in Zeiten der Hitze" (Diaphanes) was published.
