Price: CHF 35.- In co-production with Soldout Productions Danyl - Rap, Raï, Pop / FR Self-taught songwriter, composer, and beatmaker, Danyl begins by creating live tracks on Twitch. Of Franco-Algerian origin, the artist draws from Raï sounds, US-made rap, and French chanson to create a universe that resembles him. Very quickly, his relentless work pays off, views accumulate, and collaborations follow: Zamdane, Tuerie, DJ Kore, Oxmo Puccino, Stony Stone, and Rim’K. 18 months later, Danyl fills venues and embarks on an 80-concert tour across France. “100% French and 100% Algerian,” Danyl shares in his first album, ZMIG (2026). He questions social determinism and the double stigma brought by his origins: “In France, I’m just another Arab, and back home, I’m a zmigri.” The word zmigri (zmig), derived from the French “émigré,” is a pejorative term for French people of Maghrebi origin. The artist decided to reclaim this word and turn it into a strength. Refusing to be confined to a category, Danyl produces music resolutely to make a difference.
