"Dancing Queen" - Asaya Fateyeva, sax & Lautten Compagney Berlin - 80. Säckinger Kammermusik-Abende 2026-27

Description

Dancing Queen – Rameau meets ABBA
_______ The Lautten Compagney Berlin and saxophonist Asya Feteyeva combine songs by ABBA (1972) and Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683-1764). The Swedish pop band and the highly baroque French composer, two giants of European music history, created works of great originality with distinctive melodies and swinging rhythms. The Lautten Compagney, always open to new things, has arranged the music of ABBA for baroque instruments, arranged by Bo Wiget, and fused it with Rameau's compositions. Often, only upon a second listen can the original authors be recognized. The adventurous Asaya Fateyeva dances as a true Dancing Queen on her saxophone, moving between worlds and possessing an almost endless palette of sound colors. She virtuously produces rapid runs and the finest lyrical-singing arias from her instrument. ------- For her album "Dancing Queen," Lautten Compagney and Asya Fateyeva received the "Opus Klassik 2025" as the best ensemble. ------- Program: Benny Andersson (*1946) / Björn Ulvaeus (*1945) Gimme!
