Characterized by clarity of form, elegance in expression, and a cheerful-optimistic tone, this work already hints at the creative power of his later compositions. A striking contrast is provided by William Walton's rhythmically driven tonal language of the 20th century, full of energy, character, and tonal color. The emotional centerpiece of the program is Robert Schumann's piano quartet in E-flat major op. 47, which Beethoven regarded as his greatest influence and a kind of soulmate. It is also the first piece performed together by the quartet, founded in 2007, and exemplifies their ensemble spirit. Over the 20 years of its existence, the Notos Quartet has established itself on renowned concert stages and major festivals, performing across Europe, Australia, the USA, China, Japan, South Africa, Southeast Asia, and has been awarded six 1st prizes and numerous special awards at international competitions in Holland, Italy, England, and China. - - - - - - - Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827)
