Description
Daniele Gatti conducts Ludwig van Beethoven Symphony No. 1 in C major, Op. 21 Symphony No. 4 in B-flat major, Op. 60 Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67 On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's death, Daniele Gatti conducts a symphonic cycle of the composer, spanning two seasons. The first event of the Beethoven Cycle, this concert traces the early major stages of the composer's development, from his beginnings rooted in classicism to the assertion of an innovative language. With Symphony No. 1, Beethoven still follows the tradition of Haydn and Mozart, while already hinting at his bold temperament. More free and luminous, Symphony No. 4 unfolds a singular inventiveness and elegance. This evolution reaches its peak with Symphony No. 5, embodying the struggle against adversity and the triumphant assertion of human will. A unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the audacity, creativity, and power of a composer whose genius has left us one of the most iconic motifs in music history.Highlights
