With Hannes Nüsseler (*1973), the versatile program of our newly opened «Comic Workshop» at St. Alban-Vorstadt 15 begins. The Basel comic artist weaves historical events with personal fates and thriller elements. With a reduced, precise line and a fine sense of atmosphere, he tells in «Das Seidenband» about a dark chapter of regional history. «Das Haus am Wald» illuminates the inner experience of a young woman after a breakup against the background of the Yugoslavian war, and the story with the ambiguous title «Die Hard» centers on a male friendship. The exhibition displays original drawings from all three graphic novels as well as current and published works by the artist.
