Club Night: Love is Everywhere

Description

The community party series "Love is Everywhere," founded by DJ Tina Edwards, is inspired by the spirit of the "utopian" dance scene of the 1970s – with Afrobeat, House, Funk, Soul, balloons, disco balls, apricots, soap bubbles, "Lofting," and lots of love. This is how the organizers of the series, named after a song by Pharoah Sanders, describe their events. Aiming for collective joy that celebrates community and solidarity on the dance floor, where everyone feels comfortable and free to express themselves – free from any form of harassment or oppression. As stated in their mission statement: "When you enter our party, you automatically agree to the 'Love Is Everywhere' party pledge: to treat your fellow dancers with respect and love, with warmth, richness of sound, and clarity." At Enjoy Jazz, "Love is Everywhere" is being experienced outside London for the first time.
