Alessandra left one morning, without warning, without her daughter being able to say goodbye. So, in the following weeks, her daughter, an actress, imagines a dialogue she speaks aloud, with her mother's expressions, her turns of phrase, her accent, her rhythm, in order to still grasp some fragments of her, before the images, the laughter, and the sound of her voice lose their clarity, until they gradually disappear into oblivion. Because, as Annie Ernaux says, "all images will disappear." Valeria Bertolotto pays tribute to Alessandra's life, her strength of life, her capacity to transform, until the end. She talks about the bond, the filiation, and what remains of it. She speaks of her mother, of herself, of us, of what remains and of those who stay.
